Dr Louise Abuzet

Louise is a veterinary clinician and educator with a passion for making complex topics accessible, engaging, and unforgettable. Drawing on over a decade of experience in emergency and exotic animal medicine, she is creating the Veterinary Quiz Book Series to help learners test their knowledge, build confidence, and sharpen their skills.
After graduating from the University of Liverpool with an intercalated degree in Veterinary Conservation Medicine (2009), and completing her veterinary degree at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh (2011), Louise worked across first opinion, exotics, emergency, and referral settings in both Essex and Manchester. She holds dual CertAVPs in Zoological Medicine and Emergency & Critical Care, and was an RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in ECC from 2018 to 2023.
In recent years, Louise has expanded her impact beyond the clinic—serving as Veterinary Lead for a telemedicine company, acting as In-House Vet for a major online pet retailer, and, for the past few years, working as a Business Solutions Consultant for a leading veterinary pharmaceutical company. Louise also lectures for numerous veterinary companies and was a presenter at London Vet Show 2025. These roles and experiences have deepened her understanding of veterinary communication, innovation, and learner support across digital platforms.
Today, Louise brings her clinical insight and creative energy to the Veterinary Quiz Book Series—vibrant, rigorously designed resources that blend real-world relevance with playful learning. Whether you're prepping for exams or brushing up on your skills, her books offer a fresh, empowering way to engage with the world of veterinary medicine.
